The Gathering 2009 - Glory Days Packages

The biggest Clan Gathering for almost 200 years is to take place at the magnificent Royal Park of Holyrood in Edinburgh in 2009. Experience an atmosphere of traditional displays of piping, dancing and athletic events. There will be exhibitions to trace your ancestry and live traditional music with a taste experience of the best Scottish produce. The Gathering will be hosting the World Highland Games Heavy Athletic Championships, and the Highlight will be the Clan Parade up the Royal Mile along with a historic pageant of the Clans in the arena of the Castle Esplanade.

Bookings are being taken for the 2009 Edinburgh Military Tattoo (first weekend, 7–9 August 2009 ONLY) if booked as part of a Clan Gathering package. The Gathering 2009 Passport

Each leather bound embossed passport wallet entitles you to a place in the clan parade on the Royal Mile, a seat on the castle esplanade for the clan pageant and tickets to both Saturday and Sunday at the highland games in Holyrood Park.

We include Silver Passports – the only difference with Bronze, Silver and Gold is the location of the seat in Castle Esplanade – the Silver tickets are central North or South Stands – we have used these seats for our Tattoo packages for years and it will provide an excellent view!

It is not possible to buy single tickets for the clan parade or clan pageant, these are only available as part of the passport.
